I started out designing a valentine for my son to give out at his class party. (Don't you just hate those store-bought ones?) Once his was done (the bee) I decided I had to do one for the whole family, too. I printed a few out, but emailed mostly. Friends and family got a kick out of it. The instructor, Kathy Gano, has this huge sunroom/artroom in her home. It's stocked full of supplies. She does these workshops now and then... one Saturday for designing and glueing the pieces down, the next Saturday for smearing the grout stuff in between. I've been checking IF from time to time for several months, but this is the first time for me to contribute.<br /><br />I'm glad the theme was 'cats'—I'm working on some illustrations for a children's magazine, and the story is about two little kittens, Splish and Splash.
